Among the special guests were Jean-Louis Canal (Mayor of Rousset), Jean-Claude Feraud (local government representative) and Jean-David Ciot (Member of Parliament for Aix-en-Provence). In their speeches, they reiterated their confidence in Sunpartner and were glad to have been able to support the company’s growth. Ludovic Deblois also took the floor to share the company’s vision and goals and its plan to become the leading provider in smart surfaces.

Several journalists also came to discover the latest news and cover the event.

The inauguration was followed by a presentation of the site’s demo and manufacturing areas:

The Solar Hub: an area for Wysips® Glass designed for the construction and transport industries. With its two versions, Vision Glass and Design Glass, these solutions offer greater autonomy to windows, facades, and all types of glass surfaces, and increasingly smarter energy consumption.

The interior showroom: a space for presenting the multiple mobile products, accessories and connected objects developed by Sunpartner and its partners: smartphones, watches, bags, key finders, and more.

The production line: in 2017, this production line will start making 30,000m² per year of transparent solar components, initially for the European market. A tour of the current pilot line, with a capacity of a few hundred square meters, showed visitors the various stages involved in making smart glass.

Ludovic Deblois also took advantage of this event to thank Member of Parliament Jean-David Ciot, the sous-préfecture of the Bouches du Rhône department, the DIRRECTE, the PACA regional government, and the local Bouches du Rhône government and the Pays d’Aix for their continued support in the company’s development since its creation. The Sunpartner team also thanked Mayor Jean-Louis Canal for welcoming the company in the town of Rousset.

The event ended with a cocktail reception on the terrace of the company buildings.
